Miles Design recognized by Mayor Ballard for Nonprofit Design Excellence
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – Miles Design received recognition by Gregory A. Ballard, Mayor of the City of Indianapolis, for their “commitment to civic responsibility and passionate service as an Indianapolis design and branding firm.”
Mayor Ballard’s recognition cited the branding firm’s, “Work in our City’s nonprofit community has contributed to organizations’ capacity, vitality, and ability.”
Miles Design client and nonprofit Net Literacy spearheaded this recognition.
“As a nonprofit that was founded by middle school students and where students do all of the volunteering, we lacked Miles Design’s savvy design and branding expertise,” said college student Daniel Kent, President of Net Literacy.
“Throughout the creative process, they asked insightful and thoughtful questions until they thoroughly understood our journey, current programs, and future aspirations. Then, the “magic” began as they helped us tell our story in a compelling manner through the redesign and consolidation of seven websites. Most important to me was the intensively collaborative process that resulted in a finished product that leveraged our strengths in a compelling manner. Since our website redesign, traffic is up fivefold, and our diverse content has been integrated together in a logical and holistic way.”
Now beginning their tenth year in business, Miles Design has worked for over 25 nonprofits, including current clients: Heartland Truly Moving Pictures, NPower Indiana (soon to be TechRipple), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, OasNet, Irvington Community Schools, and more.
Josh Miles, founder of Miles Design shared, “Our typical target client is a B2B (business-to-business), professional services firm, or software company. And although it’s great working with for-profit entities, it’s even more rewarding to help make a difference in these nonprofits.”
