Behind the Redesign: BSALifeStructures.com

Miles Design was engaged by BSA LifeStructures, the largest architecture firm in Indiana and one of the top ten healthcare architects in the country, to redesign the BSA LifeStructures website.

Beyond the shift away from the previously mustard-themed design, this architecture firm’s website redesign is loaded with far more functionality. Below are the seven new elements we’re most excited about.

For a quick overview of the visual changes on the homepage, click the image below.

1. Simplified design and user experience. Utilizing a cleaner, grid-based layout, users are able to more quickly navigate to desired content, explore the rich project portfolio, and find related content.

2. New Content Management System. The new PHP content management system makes it easier for any member of the BSA marketing team to add, manage, or update projects, SEO content, and case studies more frequently.

3. Dynamic Calls to Action. CTAs encourage visitors to download white papers, which also collects contact information from prospective clients, turning the website into an in-bound lead generation machine.

4. Improved project portfolio. Visitors may choose to view projects visually or search the extensive catalog of architecture, engineering, and design projects by market, type, or “all projects.”

5. Compendium blog. The new site design has been carried over into the Compendium blog, showcasing some of the firm’s top thought leaders.

6. Integration with external services. The entire site plays nicely with Compendium, Issuu, Google Analytics, EMMA, and video content.

7. People. Architects are often criticized for an absence of real people on their websites. BSA features an extensive people section, which cross-links to other related content such as projects and blogs.

That’s all for the quick overview. Check back as BSA LifeStructures continues to add new content to the updated design every week.

And, let us know what you think of the redesign.
