Designing Holiday Cheer

Christmas is just around the corner, and it’s been a busy holiday season here at Miles Design. The 2010 holiday cards are in the mail, and we’re excited to finally share them with you. We’ve been hard at work (while having fun), and here’s a peek into the process and progress over the last month or so.

This year we limited our colors to three complementary spot inks.

From there, we each went to the drawing board–working on our concepts and sketching out our ideas. At the same time, mailing lists were compiled, and details like paper, printing, and envelopes were secured.

After much collaboration and feedback from one another, we finalized our individual designs, prepped the files, and sent them off to print. Last week, we took a company field trip to see the cards on press. Many thanks to the team at SPG Graphics for their great work.

Many times, print production and delivery are the final phases of a project for us, but that’s not the case with our holiday cards. Once they’re delivered to the office, we all go to work addressing labels, assembling, wrapping, and stamping. It’s truly a team effort.

We’re so happy that we’re able to share some Miles Design holiday cheer with you again this year. Check out the individual designs and accompanying stories here.
Note: We have a few more cards left, and you can click here to claim yours while supplies last.
